Vieira Alves Metalomecânica arise in 2004, following a strategy of activity diversification of a family company from the same group, in order to keep up with the remarkable growth of the wind energy market in Portugal and the European Union, which is one of the renewable sources with greater potential and future development.
Our main activity is the manufacture of metal structures applied to sectors, such as: of wind industry, cement, vitroceramic and others.
We intend to grow on metal products market through exploring new markets associated with new business, which results from diversification into new products or product components, including spaces for broader commercial activity.

The metal products industry contains several businesses in different stages of development, which requires different profitability and demands levels. VAM look for business at the growing stage, with better perspective of profitability and therefore generally more demanding from the point of view of the technical and competitive skills and competences.
Acquire capacities and develop competences in the area of welding and steel engineering in order to respond to new market opportunities – intermediate and final – by offering differentiated and specialized products, with better perspective of progression and profitability in the medium and long term (eg renewable energies, automotive, aeronautic, shipbuilding market areas).
